Brazi’s Comic Con Experience kicks off today, and comiXology is kicking off the event with a special announcement. Ahead of today’s Stout Club Entertainment panel at the convention, The Beat can exclusively reveal that the two companies will debut four brand new comic book series exclusively through the comiXology Originals program.
“We are excited to work with the folks at comiXology and to showcase not just one, but four new creative projects in the months ahead,” said Rafael Albuquerque (American Vampire) in a statement.
Albuquerque, Eduardo Medeiros, Mateus Santolouco, and Rafael Scavone comprise Stout Club Entertainment, which has produced comics including Hidden Society, Open Bar, and Eight.
“We are continually looking to expand and diversify our content with comiXology Originals and we couldn’t be happier working with the amazingly talented Stout Club Entertainment to bring their stories to a world-wide audience. Stay tuned for more details and announcements in 2020,” said comiXology’s Head of Content Chip Mosher, also in a statement.
The four series created with Stout Club will be part of the comiXology Originals line of exclusive content, available upon release at no additional cost for members of Amazon Prime, Kindle Unlimited, and comiXology Unlimited, and for purchase on Kindle and comiXology.
More details will be announced at a later date.
